Originally from Maryland, JT relocated to Florida
full time in the early 2000s. He started career fishing tournaments and guiding in Florida in the winter and in Maryland in the summer. He fished his first National event on the St Lawrence river in the late 90s. Since then he's had a 23 year career fishing National tournaments from coast to coast and even a few international ones. 2018 was his final year fishing tournaments. In 2019 JT became one of the hosts of Major League Fishings Bass Pro Tour live broadcasts and television show. The following year he started “The Fishin Show
with JT Kenney” on MOTV. JT really has a blast showing people some big bass and pulling a lot of laughs along the way!

Born and raised In Alabama and according to his parents he's been fishing since I was in diapers. He began his full time professional career in 2003 on the FLW Tour where he qualified for 6 Forrest Wood Cups. In 2008 Matt fished the Bassmaster Southern Opens where he won the Points Champion title and qualified for the Bassmaster Elite Series. Matt began his career on Elite Series in 2009 and during that time he's qualified for 10 Bassmaster Classics.
